These fans will reduce your electricity bill and benefit the environment by eliminating the need for air conditioning. You can easily use them in your bathroom, toilet, kitchen, hall, vestibule, living room, storage room and rooms.
How to choose a fan?
- Choose square box window fans rather than other types.
- Box window fans have straight edges and the ability to blow air in one direction, making them ideal for providing a continuous flow of air into or out of your home.

While circular rotating fans, like box window fans, are great for moving air around your home, they are less effective for bringing in air from outside.
Choose the biggest fan that fits the windows of your home. A larger fan will move more air than a smaller fan. Use fans that will cover at least 2/3 of the horizontal width of your window frame.
- Buy an even number of fans to maximize airflow. When you install the fans, some will be placed to blow cold air in and others will blow hot air out. Choosing fans in different directions would be the right decision.
- If you have an irregular number of windows and cannot get equivalent fans blowing inwards and outwards, it is better to blow more inwards. This creates a slight positive pressure inside the house that prevents dust and insects from entering when the doors are opened.
Fan Positioning
- Make sure that the window where you install the fan is out of sight and, if possible, away from noisy surroundings.
Place fans in windows away from sources of bad odors. Before deciding which windows to place your fans in, take a look at the external environment of your home.
Avoid placing fans in windows near garbage bins or parking lots where fumes and odors can enter the home.
Creating air intakes near trees or flowering plants will bring pleasant scents into your home.
Place fans close to the floor of the house. Place 2-3 fans in windows on the lower floor to blow inside and draw in cool outside air. Also use window fans for daytime cooling on cold days.
If you use fans during the day, set up 2-3 fans to blow inward to the airiest side of your home. This will typically be the side in the shade or the side facing north.
Install fans on the top floor of your house that blow outwards. Fans in the windows on the top floor of your house will blast the warm air outside.
If you use fans during the day, place your outdoor box fans in windows on the sunny side of the house.
If you live in a single-storey house, install window fans to blow inwards on the shady side of your house. Adjust the fans by blowing them out of the windows on the other side.
Leave doors open inside your home for maximum airflow.
Installation of Window Fans;
Place each window tightly around the fan to hold it in place. Open the window and place your fan inside the window. Make sure it is balanced.
If your windowsopen sideways rather than vertically, open the width of the window to match the width of the fan.
