How to Clean Underfloor Heating System?

Underfloor heating system cleaning, (water system) is a simple system as in honeycomb heating. There is an inlet and outlet hose for it and these hoses are collected in the collector on all surfaces, and heating is requested from the valves in the collector.

After heating the floor with hot water through these hoses connected to the collector, the heating efficiency is higher than the honeycombs.

 

How Do Underfloor Heating Systems Get Dirty?

The reason that generally causes heating problems in underfloor heating systems is sludge, slime and calcification in the system. In underfloor heating systems, it is a slime accumulation that we see as mud over time, but is actually caused by bacteria.

Bacteria die above 70 degrees, but the temperature in underfloor heating systems is generally 55 degrees. This provides a suitable breeding ground for bacteria.

This slime, sludge and lime can accumulate in the system over time or form a layer and reduce heat conduction. In some areas, it can cause regional heating problems by completely clogging, clogging of the boiler or pump parts and decreasing efficiency or malfunctions.

1. When we start cleaning the underfloor heating system, we connect the return and return hoses of our machine to the collectors.
2. The valves of the connections from the collector to the boiler are closed, so that there is no entry and exit to the boiler.
3. At the beginning of cleaning, the drain and clean water filling hoses of the machine are connected for the discharge of the first dirty water and the machine is made suitable for draining.

After the system is made ready for discharge, the inlet and outlet valves of all rooms are closed and only the valves of one room are left open and the sewage water in the open part and the free circulating sludge, slime and sediments are removed from the system.

The process is continued until the drain water discharged from the system is cleaned, and when the process is completed, that room is closed and moved to another room.

After draining the waste water in the system, the boiler is turned on and the water in the system is heated to 30-40 degrees and then the boiler and connections are closed again.

All piston valves are closed and the individual chambers are thoroughly cleaned.

After the cleaning is finished, the chemical water in the system is discharged by rinsing again and clean water is pumped into the installation.

The system is turned off and the water deficiency is completed until the system pressure is 1.5 bar.

The termination process for floor heating system cleaningis completed and the boiler is started and inspected.

How to Bleed Underfloor Heating Systems?

1. The collector is loosened and waited until the water comes out.
2. If there is a towel warmer in the bathroom, emptying the towel warmer cavity.
3. The combi boiler is bled from the world prujector.

The three section control will not remove the air accumulated in those sections and there will be no air in the system.
